Eight Bar, Falmouth

An old book shop into a wine bar.
The original layout was one toilet, one small rear store and a main room.

We had to fit in this small area a disabled toilet, a bottle store, a cleaner’s cupboard, a beer cellar and the main bar.
To top it all the main ceiling was curved from the back of the seats across the room to the seats on the other side.
Everything was built on-site which made it quite cramped at times.

The lighting consisted of two main rows in sets of three, a feature light box faces you when you come in and there are up-lighters behind the seats illuminating the curve in the ceiling.
All the lights are controlled on a Dimpac switch which gives the ability to set the lighting to suit the mood.

The bar has its own features with blue rope lights under the bar lip and pendants over the front corner.
Apart from all the main construction we fitted the CCTV and the audio speakers.

This project is still ongoing.
